It’s about being intentional with your training. Going through the motions isn’t enough. It should never be painful to train. You shouldn’t be guessing at what muscles are suppose to be worked in an exercise. If you don’t know seek professional help. If you have musculoskeletal issues/imbalances they can be corrected over time. You need the right guidance and to be doing more of the things you don’t want to do for your body. Stretch, eat healthier, see a therapist(yes, your brain is part of the body), etc.
