Technique, angle, structure — with jiujitsu, we learn to leverage these against someone that might be bigger, stronger. It pains me to think that this could happen to me or to anyone I know. While we can only hope to raise a generation of men that respect consent, boundaries and no’s, violence against women in the Philippines remains rampant and has intensified over the pandemic.
