The Mother Witch is part of the Sanderson Sisters origen story, I wanted her to have symbols over her costume that inspired Winnifred’s costume. she had the symbols on her sleeves and the same broach on her cape as Winnie now wears on her coat, but with a carnelian stone instead of a malachite. The dress and cape was made in our workroom by @rock_puppers_scissors ana @jan_lanta , they spent many hours hand sewing in the pleats and crystal details. The embroidery was done by Sylvias costumes in Hollywood. The center eye was an image to Book. Then we ombré dyed the whole dress as I held my breath!! The cape has a very long train that we were going to shorten once we fit it on @hannah_waddingham , but she loved the drama of the length and you can see she worked that cape all around the forest. Dressing Hannah was so much fun, she brought so much excitement to the costume. I would love to see a whole movie just about the Mother Witch! @hocuspocusdisney #motherwitch #allseeingeye
