It’s Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Week & it also happens to be 1 year from the biggest challenge of my life. I kept this private at the time but I’m so proud of where I am now. Over 2 weeks in the hospital, 10 days without food, resection surgery, medication with nasty side effects - but I made it. I made it to AU Hoops season one month from surgery. I climbed through a canyon two months later. I built back all the muscle I lost. I’m healthier than I’ve ever been with Crohn’s. I finally look like myself again. I’m mentally and spiritually at my strongest. I’ve come really really far. And I’m thankful for my faith and my doctors and my people that helped get me here. #ccawarenessweek #IDB #crohnsdisease
