This was the last weekend of the last week of summer. This summer I have been filled and I have been emptied. This summer presented ample opportunity for patience through Shocco’s fleeting weeks of camp. Enlightenment and edification followed trials and errors. I’ve walked and I’ve sprinted. I’ve sat in introspection and I’ve somersaulted in impulse. Well devised plans were utterly destroyed, and spontaneous conflicts were miraculously wrestled into submission. When we eat, drink, and toil, we can only find joy in the presence of the Lord. I have joy because he is with me. I have peace because he is with me. I am content, and prepared for every good work because he is with me. To know God is to know true purpose in life. To live life with God is living life to the full. I am thankful for his presence. His desire is for us all to know him genuinely. Thank you Jesus for giving me life. True, intentional, purposeful, and REAL life. Thank you for gifting me faith to trust in you.
