I never realized how much books played a pivotal role in my adolescent years. But I’d spend hours, during the summer, at the library or at Barnes & Noble...just reading. Feeling connected with the characters, gaining inspiration & hope through these writers’ words. We got asked, by our publisher, what we hope to accomplish with this book. After some thought, I realized...if my words or stories can impact someone (a child, a parent, a random person at the library), I’d feel over the moon. Never in a million years, would I even imagine that I would have this opportunity to begin with. Lucky Cat may just be a children’s book but it’s a story I’m beyond proud of creating alongside @janetdoubleu @hwuwu & our incredible illustrator @eunicesketches .
