Meet Beau Wangtrakuldee, founder & CEO of AmorSui, fashionable and functional PPE that leverages technology to make it simple for hospitals and clinics to implement more sustainable circular PPE. Their integrated PPE platform automates cleaning, life-cycle management, and recycling of washable gowns, and tracks environmental impact towards reducing one-time use products. Happy accidents: I experienced firsthand how someone could get hurt when they are equipped with ill-fitting and non-functional PPE, when I was burned in a chemical spill because my lab coat did not protect me. We have built our expertise in creating premium quality, gender-inclusive, made-in-USA protective apparel and accessories over the past few years, but now we are expanding our horizons to be the first mover in high unmet need areas of the PPE industry, including digitalization and more sustainability options. Advice you wish you had known when you first started? Find your strength, and ask for help when needed. If you had to choose the most defining moment of your career, what would it be? Amid the pandemic, we had to pivot our offering to adapt to the change in the market and land in the fast-growing healthcare market, providing a solution for more resilient and sustainable PPE supply chains for the healthcare industry. To think that AmorSui accomplished this in six short months is pretty amazing. What’s been your proudest moment? It is the best feeling to receive positive customers reviews, saying that our products have made them feel safer in their everyday activities or at work. What does being a “woman in tech” mean to you & how can our community help you during this time? As the world becomes more digitalized, I believe the world is full of possibility for women to solve problems that only we can understand, and in the process make the world a more gender-inclusive place.
