JP Morgan is one of the worlds worst Financier or Fossil fuels. They’ve invested $316.735 billion between 2016-2020. Since the Paris Agreement, $3.8 trillion has been invested into fossil fuels by 60 banks. Which is why it was a campaign I wanted to get on board with and help in any way I can. You can do the same, there is a whole range of campaigns with a variety of companies you can be a part of and help instigate that change through shareholder engagement. The need for systemic change has never been more clear. The need to hold big businesses, corporations and governments to account is key if we want to turn things around and stop them from their unethical, unsustainable profit over planet practices. No more business as usual. No more greenwashing. I’ve never come across something like this before and it’s a great way to try to bring about that change from the inside using our rights as shareholders not just as consumers.
