More early mornings like please ✨ Memories from this particular morning, on assignment in the tablelands somewhere between Sydney and Canberra: The previous day, clouds had obscured all potential for golden light, resulting in our anxious checking of the forecast for the following morning. It was our last chance for images from the area; we needed to move on. Thankfully the thick cloud disbanded for a few precious minutes this morning, leaving only wispy trails; a glorious half hour of long shadows ensued, the vast beauty of the region on show. This image was taken just as we spotted this sole roo bounding across the plains; a muted thump, thump echoed through the valley as its powerful hind legs made contact with the dew-tipped grassland ablaze with morning light 🌞
