Experiment 001 - Re-imagination of an iconic chair.⁠ ⁠ For this experiment, I challenged myself and my team to re-imagine an iconic piece of furniture. To be exact, Marc Newson's, Orgone Chair.⁠ ⁠ Newson worked with a fluid form of aluminum and enamel to create his chair. However, I wanted to use a more simplified approach that had less of an impact on the environment.⁠ ⁠ I took pieces of plywood, which is a sustainable material, and layered them together to create a contour effect. This was not only a simplified method, but also non-energy intensive.⁠ ⁠ There is a shared DNA in all that I do. From designing homes, to building furniture, all the way to designing clothes - to consume less and create more. ⁠ ⁠ Anything can be re-imagined if you're willing to find its hidden potential.⁠
