The hardest part of leaving our building was saying goodbye to our next-door neighbor, Chen. She’s a 90-year-old woman who lives alone, and from the moment I met her, my heart melted. As many of you know, my grandma is in her late 90s, and when I told her about Chen, she said, “Mija, always help her and check on her!” And that’s exactly what we did. Chen was my weekly reminder that age is just a number, and living in the city takes true strength. We’re excited for this new chapter, but Baxter St. will always hold a special place in our hearts.
