Our DIY kitchen 1.5year later. 🤭✨ @kaboodlekitchen My thoughts on the kitchen ⤵️ -Tiled bench tops. I’m in love with them and I wish I had them but the reality is we don’t plan on living here forever so simple bench tops for easy cleaning was a priority. Possibility to go fo stone bench tops but we needed the new kitchen asap and budget was tight. If your renovating a whole house splurge on the things that matter and only if you plan on staying awhile. I decided to splurge more on electrical and DIY’d as much as possible to get the look we were after. I had a beautiful pendant light in here but ultimately your gal needed her Ceiling fan back. The thing is a life saver up here in central Qld. 🥵 I really want larger skylights for more light. We have 2 small ones which will get replaced soon, hopefully we can have larger ones put in after. This area of the house is dark, the sun never makes it this side of the house so we rely on the windows and skylights for our natural light during the day. Yeah we could have gone without the island bench but there was one here when we moved in and I do love the extra drawer space we have.
