It’s a bold claim I know, but just trust me this @NYT Cooking marinara recipe is simply 🤌🤌🤌 Let me know if you try it! Here’s how I make it: 28oz can whole peeled San Marzano Tomatoes (don’t throw out the can) 1 cup water 7-8 garlic cloves, slivered 1/4 cup @Graza (link in bio for $5 off) Red pepper flakes, to taste Salt, to taste Fresh basil Parm to top 1lb cooked spaghetti 1. Pour your tomatoes in a large bowl and carefully crush with your hands. Pour a cup of water in the tomato can and slosh around to pick up any leftover juice. 2. In a saucepan (important to use a shallow pan, not a deep one) heat your olive oil over medium. 3. Once hot, add in your garlic and give it a quick stir. As soon as your garlic begins to sizzle (you don’t want it to brown) pour in your tomatoes and reserved water. Add in your salt and red pepper. Stir. 4. Place your basil leaves directly on top of the sauce, don’t stir yet. Let the basil wilt and then stir into your sauce, about 5 minutes or so. 5. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 25 minutes. Stirring occasionally. Adjust seasoning as needed. Add in your cooked pasta directly into the pan and stir. 6. Serve with fresh parm and basil.
