SJ Axelby’s Interior Portraits is out this Thursday! ✨ Posted @withrepost • @sjaxelby Last year, the day after my father’s funeral, I got a book deal. It was like a gift from him, to help me through the hardest time. A mammoth task, every day I would force myself to paint through my grief and this is the end result. I always wanted to do an illustrated interiors book and I never dreamt it would actually happen. What I firmly believe is if you work hard especially through the tough times, surround yourself with people that support you and dream big, you can make anything happen. I am so grateful for all the support I have had @penny_morrison_ltd who was a mentor to me and @kitkempdesignthread who supported me every step of the way and has written the most beautiful foreword. And to @pavilionbooks @harpercollinsuk for believing in me and commissioning a second book before this one is even out! Finally to all the creatives that feature in the book and my friends and family who helped me throughout (especially my Mama who continues to inspire me every day.) If you are still reading at this point....I think my Daddy would be very proud X
