What’s In It Wednesday review. This time I looked at e.l.f. cosmetics holy hydration eye cream. I am a huge fan of their liquid eyeliner but skincare? Here is my take: E.l.f. is pretty affordable at $10 but the question is, is it worth it? I tried it for a few days and it will moisturize. Would the 20s me use it under makeup or overnight? Yup. Is it going to do a lot for the 45 year old me? I’m not so sure. I’m generally skeptical of the use of the word peptides because there are so many out there and in formulation it isn’t clear if these particular ones are going to actually penetrate the skin to do anything. Regardless it has glycerin which is always a hero moisturizing ingredient in my book. It has a nice slick to it without being tacky. It dries down nicely and a little bit will go a long way. If you need a high pigment or thick concealer for under eye bags (like shape tape) I think this is perfect for underneath so it doesn’t get caked through the day.
