30+ years ago I was with my friend Steve who received a called from 3 guys needing a bass player and a keyboard player to form a band. As a drummer I had decided to buy a keyboard 3 months prior this phone call to learn how to play so I could write songs. So Steve, cupping the phones mouth piece (pre cell phones) asked me if I wanted to go and have a jam. We all hit it off and a year later we signed to Columbia records, and over the next 7 years had top 10hits and platinum records, went on my first trip overseas touring the world with an oxygen tank due to one of my lungs being removed 2 weeks prior and lived the clichès of a rock n roll band. Flash forward 30years and a lot has happened in between. Sadly we lost our beautiful friend Stuart “Chet” Fraser to cancer. But here we are doing a reunion tour of Australia and our friend @irwinthomas is honoring Stuart’s brilliance by gracefully playing lead guitar with us. And just to confuse the audience I’m also now playing guitar.
