Happy Makeup Monday Family!!! Family, this weekend I had the Opportunity to attend the Baltimore Met Ball, held at the M&T Bank Exchange in Beautiful Downtown Baltimore. I was So Honored to receive a Special VIP Invitation from My Dear Friend, #Fashion Producer & Celebrity Stylist for the Event, @itsLanaRae. After I Graciously Thanked Her, my 1st question was, What is the Theme this year? I was told, this year's theme was The Four Elements-Air, Water, Earth and Fire!! As Usual I got together with My #Friend & Designer Alan, @kingkittrell & together we came up with a Phenominal Concept that I was Proud to showcase at such an Auspicious Affair!!! After Discussing it with my Friends Ron, Tonya, and John, I decided we would each cover one of the Elements and Show up Representing "The House of DRAF" (Derrick Rutledge About Face) I chose Water, and after Discussing my vision with Alan, I knew what I wanted to wear!! Once I laid out all the Fabrics & Accessories, My concept became clear!!! Fabrics in Shades of Blue,Teal,Pale Green, and Touches of Coral, that were Iridescent and Holographic. I said Alan I need A Blazer, Slacks, A Shirt, A Vest, and of course, For me, No Outfit is complete without some kind of Hat!!! I Ordered Rhinstones, Glitter, Pearls, An Evening Bag, A Top Hat, Sea Shells, Sea Glass, A hot glue gun & Fabric Adhesive!! Once Everything Arrived, it was time to get to work!!! This year's 2023 Annual fundraiser was to Help benefit The Park Heights Renaissance, a non-profit organization committed to shaping a better future for the Park Heights Community of Baltimore, with the aim to revitalize the community through Land, Economic, and Human Development. The VIP Red Carpet Arrivals was from 5 to 6pm, From 6 to 7 pm, there was The VIP Reception consisting of high end hors d’ oeuvres, Champagne and an Open Bar!!!! Then At 7:15 the #FashionShow began, featuring this year’s theme-” The Four Elements”, with 10 National, Regional, and Local Designers, 125 Models, and Surprise Guest Celebrities.
