‘Back in 5 min’ took place in 2014 at the Geymüllerschlössel, a uniquely furnished Viennese Biedermeier and Empire-style mansion. The installation plays with the various time shifts and anachronisms of places like this which used to be full of life and are now frozen into a museum space. Alluding to the temporary use of the house, the Fantome dust sheets create a residential “moment between.” Details give the impression of being frozen: a flawed depiction of a segment, reminiscent of Google Maps, as if the scene were “reloading” or reconfiguring itself. @mak_vienna @mika.wisskirchen.photo
