I have been anticipating showing these images for a while. My second book in one year (and ever). So big! ❤️ On Monday the Danish version of this coffee table book is out in the stores. ‘Rekonstruktion’ is a book about breast cancer by surgent Charlotte Weile. In the book you’ll meet around 50 different women who have been either struggling with or are in the midst of struggling with breast cancer. None of these women have actually had a big wish for appearing topless in public. But their desire to help other women has overcome the fear. These women are strong, vulnerable and so brave. I particularly was moved by Anita (first image) and her son Emil. Anita was single and knew she wanted children. And with extremely short notice she had to decide if she wanted to get pregnant on her own before undergoing cancer-preventive breast surgery and ovarian removal.
