Today’s recipe we tackled the bane of every @bravotopchef contestants career, risotto. Wineforest Wild Foods makes a delicious California Porcini Risotto and is easy enough for you to whip up. 🍄🌧♨️🧑‍🍳 @conniegreenwineforest . . We made half of the package because we couldn’t eat it all on our own. It makes about 2 servings and took a total of 30 minutes. You’ll need some olive oil, white wine, butter, parmesan (we used vegan versions because it’s what we had at home) and about 4 cups of warm broth. The biggest tip we can give to making risotto is time, patience and consistent stirring! . . 1. Gather your ingredients. 2. Get your broth to a medium boil. 3. In a separate big pot on med-low heat coat the risotto in olive oil. 4. Add your white wine to the risotto and stir for ~5 minutes -keep an eye on it because evaporates quickly! 5. Add 1 cup of your warm broth to the risotto and stir. 6. Keep your heat at a medium to low and stir stir stir. Incorporate the broth by half cups as it evaporates. You will eventually get a creamy consistency-took us about 20-25 minutes. Having extra broth helps just in case it takes longer. 7. When it’s the consistency you want add your butter and parm then you have yourself a steamy hearty umami bowl of goodness. 8. Pat yourself on the back for being the best chef ever. Enjoy your weekend everyone! . . . . #rainbowgrocery #foodie #risotto #topchef #cook #cooking #sweaterweather #recipes #delicious #umami #home #organic #wildcrafted #mushrooms
