I'm here because they were 💗 40 years ago, my dad was a law student with hopes of returning to war-torn Nicaragua while my mom was a student-teacher abroad. They met here, made a life here, and for my entire childhood promised to bring me here. This trip is a lifetime in the making. It is beautiful. It is tinged with personal pain too.
