My soul brother, Darius Campbell Danesh is a true Legend and today would have been his 42nd birthday. Ohhhh brother...it’s been one week and I miss you so. We were always used to you running around the world and disappearing for the odd weeks here or there...but we always met up, often unexpectedly, as you’d randomly show up wherever I was in the world (just three examples are in the photos I shared- one in London during shooting of the Expendables 4- both in hats, one in NY for the Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard premiere and one in Dubai for a business trip) 😅 You truly had the biggest heart of anyone I’d ever met in the world and you put everyone before yourself. May you be blessed now to truly be able to be everywhere, with everyone- always. I’d say that’s my birthday wish for you, but I know that is already the case. You are and always will be with us, watching over us, guiding us and, of course, fucking with us, as you always do. You brought out the best in me, I love you and I just wish you didn’t have to leave us so soon ❤️ To those who were blessed and lucky enough to know Darius, you know how indeed blessed and lucky we are...as sad as his early passing is, the gratitude for having had him in our lives surpasses the sadness. His capacity for love, kindness, generosity and so much more was as abundant as the stars in the sky. His smile was the physical representation of all the love he had to give and his big embraces were a further extension of his soul- a blanket of love and warmth that made you forget he’d ever been gone for a moment. I have so much to say about our late brother Darius, but words can never amount to the respect, love and impact that he had on this world and the legacy he has left us with to carry forward in his name. I love you bro, I cheers to you and forever, always, we will endeavor to illuminate the world.
