Today is a Call to Action. On this Black Women’s Equal Pay Day we’re reminded that our economy isn’t working for everyone..Especially Black women. On average, Black women are paid 58 cents for every dollar to white, non-Hispanic men. That means it would take a Black woman working from a year ago (into today) to earn just as much as white, non-Hispanic men. As we continue to strive for more fair public policy choices and worker power (including better wages & working conditions)..
