Last 20th of May Pripyat was released. I spent the day with the admired @pitchfork journalist @philipsherburne , with who I had the most thorough interview I have ever had (you can find it in the bio). Both his capacity of listening and his interest are grand, to which I corresponded with everything I could explain, the entire odyssey from the first music sparkle I can recall from early childhood to that very day. I am a perfectionist, which I used to see as my curse and now I see as my weapon. This album took ages and big struggle to be finished, as well as my forever ongoing development as a musician. I was very lucky that this interview was made with a matching meticulousness: Philip took the patience and required time to transcribe several hours of tangled reflections, stories and metaphores and somehow made them all fit in this condensed interview, giving an accurate portrait of the nerd, devote and clown character I see in myself. I am very grateful to have spent the release day of the album going deep on all these matters with a professional who genuinely wanted to know about them, and this interview is the precious memory I will keep of it.
