How to feel ok when everything is actually NOT ok!
My daily habits which do keep my mood up despite having incurable breast cancer. Of course there are better days than others but I notice when I let some habits slip!
1) MEDITATE - if new to this start with just 2mins and work your way up to an amount of time that fits in your schedule and can be done daily. I do 15-20 mins and sometimes I break that up between AM and PM
2) MOVE YOUR BODY- walk, take the stairs, jog, whatever... just do something. It will be different for everyone but do what you can for 20-30mins a day minimum
3) GET OUTSIDE IN NATURE- if you can exercise outside then this kills 2 birds with one stone. Find a local park with trees, a river or lake, seaside, whatever you have access to but spend more time outdoors
4) REST & RELAX- this is just as important as everything else. People underestimate how much rest and down time they need. Just take a break- 5min- , take a power nap, turn off the phone, rest the mind and body
5) PRACTICE GRATITUDE- either journal or make a list or just say “thank you” in your head for the moments that make you happy during your day. I like to do this at the end of the day before bed. It makes you see all the good that happened even on a not so good day
So which do you need to start practising daily?
Which one is the hardest for you?
Save this for when you need to be reminded again💫
