Brain Dump - 22/09/22 I am utterly overwhelmed with the love, kind messages and support after my @loungeunderwear photo was posted. What an incredible brand to work with for a campaign that’s now very close to my chest!!!! Breast cancer awareness month needs me, you, brands to talk and remind each other that we must check ourselves - regularly!! Know your normal. I feel so lucky to still be here, be able to share my story and hopefully show people that 1. It’s okay to look different and 2. Show that there is life during and after cancer. I never expected this blog to grow in the way that it has, but I’m so glad because that means the message is getting out there... check your bodies and if in doubt go and get checked by a professional. The world keeps spinning and I’ll keep smiling, even if some days are a little darker than others. Sometimes I hate looking different but other days it doesn’t bother me. I am however grateful for my journey because it’s guided me to a life of happiness that I never thought I’d have. Someone said to me this week ‘maybe this happened to you for a reason, to help others’ and I think maybe that could be true. I felt a little lost before. I was unhappy and coasting. Now I feel alive. Grateful. Appreciative. Most of all humbled to be able to support strangers going through a similar journey and glad I can educate those who are just watching and supporting from the sidelines. I’ll never be the ‘perfect’ instagram girl. I will however always be glad to be alive and blown away by what my body has to endure just to keep my feet on this earth a little while longer. Breast Cancer Awareness month is October... let’s talk about it. Lets not shy away from a subject usually kept behind closed doors. It happens. It’s real. However checking yourself regularly could just save your life. 💕
