Halloween may have passed, but as far as I’m concerned, it’s still the season of the witch. Haxan by @hereticparfum perfectly compliments this late Autumn mood with a dark and mysterious scent that conjures visions of a witch’s secret forest workshop. A deep and velvety red rose swirls through a dark ambery fog, while oakmoss gives the scent a very natural feeling of being of and one with nature. Although the scent doesn’t necessarily smell smoky, it evokes feelings of incense. The osmanthus note is particularly interesting to me, as it is certainly different than how I am accustomed to smelling it in my favorite tropical scents. Instead, it leans more on its leathery facets here, while amplifying the sweetness of the red rose.
