So humbled to be mentioned amongst the names of so many incredible Women in Music 🙏🏻 Thankyou @musicweekinsta for awarding me Music Creative of the year ❤️ This means so much to me. The Music industry is forever growing and changing and in the 18 years I’ve been doing this I’ve witnessed change and progression, but it was so tough for me to try and get into this industry. I was a 15 year old girl from bow east london who knew nobody in music, I had no contacts and no access. I had to knock down doors and create spaces where I could be seen and heard. There wasn’t many female anr’s, no female producers and not so many women in high powered jobs in music that I could see or reach.My only wish is that because it was tougher for me 18 years ago that the doors are now easier to open and the continuous No’s that I got over the years are no longer an issue for younger women coming through in 2022 long may this continue.
