7 years ago @thelumineers asked me to tour with them, after I met them in the recording studio. I asked for a one-tour contract, unsure what it would be like. The Cleopatra tour kicked off in the small room below Webster Hall in NYC and ramped up to two sold-out nights at Madison Square Garden. Fast-forward to this summer and we started in outdoor amphitheaters and ended last night with a sold-out crowd at Wrigley Field, 40k fans singing along to the show. I stand in awe of what @wesleyschultz and @jeremiahfraites have built: the music, the fans, the band family, the crew. The crew, to a person, is brilliant, motivated, and focused on a unified vision. When we’re onstage, the band is riding a wave of energy from the 80 people who have our back. It’s a great gig. That’s a hilarious understatement. #brightsideworldtour22 #crewmineers 📸 @olivia.bastone
