I can honestly say this was the most challenging, inspiring, exhausting, and rewarding project I have ever worked on. For our inaugural issue, we assembled over two dozen young activists from all six inhabited continents working on some of the most critical issues we face today. Our five cover subjects are best known for their work against racism, transphobia, the climate crisis, and authoritarianism, but what all of these powerful change makers have shown is that all of the myriad struggles against systemic inequities intersect in immeasurable ways. For the first time in history, it is the youth—those with the most to lose—who are taking the lead to change the world for the better.
