As summer fades and shadows get longer, I’m reflecting on some of these skaters I photographed at the Venice Beach skatepark. I’m not a sports photographer by any means but I absolutely love the almost trance-like expression they get when choosing their line in a concrete pool. Always looking ahead, feeling and reacting to where they find themselves as they carve through all the options. It’s a portrait of pure flow state, where you completely occupy your body and not your thoughts. It reminds me just how much we’re capable of when we let go and trust our gut. #flowstate
