Not much better than fresh salad and greens. Not much worse than leaves in a plastic bag pumped with gasses. Leaves and greens are some of the easiest things to grow. If you have a greenhouse or sunny indoor spot you can grow them all year round. Failing that, search them from small growers, veg boxes, farmers markets where they have been cut fresh. If you keep them well (a little wash then wrapped in a slightly damp tea towel) they will keep for much longer and save you money in the end. And if you can find mizunas or other mustard greens and use them in your salads and dishes, they will add really interesting bites to your lunch.
