Today I’m sharing my favorite cover from 1987. I was just about to turn 18 here. I had been on my own since I was 16 years old. Thrown into a world of fashion and survival. It all seems so glamorous and parts of it surely were but to be vulnerable here the first year I thought I would die from anxiety and fear from getting up on set and being seen. I would’ve never put myself in that kind of situation if I had a comfortable home to return to. So there are both light and dark parts of our journey through our traumas and our wounds . When we take our pain and we move into the uncomfortable places to grow and step into the unknown we can create absolute magic. There is always another layer to our learning so there’s no destination only more journey. Being in the modeling world for 15 years brought all kinds of new lessons and tests. Now stepping into a new phase of modeling self-care, embodying the practices of self care, self love, and becoming comfortable in the uncomfortable. Stepping into the unknown, looking for adventure and true connection is where the magic lies. This is where I live. I invite you on this journey with me.
