❗️RECIPE: CAJUN MAC & CHEESE 💯 This recipe is coming to us from Chef Sebastian Narvaez - Full recipe below! 🔥 👨‍🍳 I’ve been inviting chefs over to my studio kitchen to throw down & share their favorite grub style recipes with you all. 🫵 You gotta try this one!! I turned the leftovers into an egg roll remix, I’ll drop that video later this week. 👀 ✔️ Shout out to Chef Sebastian Narvaez, who crushed this spiced food for the soul. He’s based out in the Orlando, FL area so if you’re ever looking for a proper private chef, hit him up! 🗣 If you listen to the voiceover, I incorporated some Cajun slang/sayings into it. Here’s the meanings behind them: Fais do-do ~ Cajun dance party Gris-Gris ~ A jestful term for cursing someone Veillet ~ An evening talking to friends, conversation 🔅 Cajun culture is a huge part of Louisiana and is a blending of French, West African and Spanish cooking. This recipe gives a little peek into that. 📌 CAJUN MAC & CHEESE RECIPE 1️⃣ Slice & Sauté Andouille Sausages on med - high heat. 2️⃣ Small dice a red pepper, green pepper & red onion than add to the sautéed sausages. 3️⃣ Once vegetables start to sweat, add finely chopped garlic & stir. 4️⃣ Add cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika than stir it all up. 5️⃣ Add equal parts butter & flour directly into the pot on medium heat & stir. 6️⃣ Once roux is formed, slowly pour in heavy cream until thickened. As the sauce starts to boil, add in all the cheeses. Salt to taste. 7️⃣ Add the mac noodles to a baking dishes & layer twice with mozzarella cheese & and cheese sauce. 8️⃣ Bake at 200 for 40 minutes uncovered than add a final layer of mozzarella cheese and broil for 5 minutes. 9️⃣ Stir up the mac in the baking dish. 🔟 Let cool, serve up & DIG IN. #thegrubfather #foodie #recipes #foodlover #macandcheese #cheesy #cheese
