one new year’s eve a long time ago, there was a little girl and her mother, the biggest christmas tree the little girl has ever seen, and a newly bought dvd that had two movies on it. as they settled on the floor under the giant tree and the mother pressed play, that night would become the little girl’s most cherished and comforting memory. the mother also had a little pocket camera — inspired, the little girl went to work capturing her surroundings — she wanted to create art that made her feel, the way that movie and the magic of new year’s eve had. one day the little girl and her mom got one way tickets, packed their bags, and moved from russia to new york city. this new place opened the little girl’s eyes to an even bigger world, with bigger possibilities. she marveled at the architecture surrounding her, walked the halls of the met museum, fell in love with the literature at the ny public library, and obsessed over the fashion!! as the little girl grew older, her heart became fonder of chasing that feeling of her early childhood. she binged through classical literature, fell in love with cinema, studied art, and spent countless hours in front of her piano perfecting her favorite songs. she also discovered pinterest and absorbed all the cozy posts depicting books, london, rainy days, fall, and hygge. she knew she wanted to created similar photos that evoked a feeling of coziness and nostalgia for home. if you haven’t guessed by now, that little girl is me :) for a while i wasn’t sure what to write for this post or the best way to introduce my page, and then the words started flowing. i tell stories with my camera, so i wanted to tell a little story about why i approach photography in the way that i do — i fell in love with art and the feeling it evokes, and wanted to create my own art through photography. without further ado — welcome to anastasiia delmedico photography, where memories are artistically preserved. thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here and making the little girl’s dream come true, i’m so grateful for each and every single one of you. cheers 🥂 📸🫂: @nikodelmedi.co @pana_yiota2 studio: @studiosunsetchicago
