Ten years ago today, this little shit looked at me from behind a chain link fence at the Savannah pound. He was still in the receiving cage, and wasn’t officially allowed to be adopted yet as he hadn’t been assessed for temperament and all that. But we were able to talk the staff into letting me take him home that day. An Instagram post wouldn’t adequately convey how much he means to me, and all the fun times we’ve had over these last ten years. But here’s some pictures over the years. He’s still a puppy to me, even as he gets grayer, slows down, and loses his hearing (or just ignores me). He’s the best dog in the world, anyone who’s met him knows it. Here’s to ten more. #willie
