🌳 Every year, Tuscan artist residency @villalena hosts a number of artists from all across the world who apply in hundreds to the programme and are carefully chosen by the foundation’s board, to get a space in the Tuscan hills to freely work, bond and create. This year, Bulgari sponsored the partnership between @mqbmbq and @villalena to bring to life an artist residency in support of Black Queer Artists of all genres from all across the world. One of the chosen artists @lowemallory – a queer artist of Cameroonian and Belgian descent used the explorative nature of her camera lens to capture the sights, sounds and feelings of the Tuscan landscapes around her. @tamumcpherson 🤍 spent a day in Mallory’s studio unravelling the threads of her practice around the exploration of hybrid identities and imaginary diasporas.
