So while it’s easier for me to win over investors (I’m white, tall cisgender and thin which carries a lot of privilege)... I’ve had some pretty interesting rejections. Being called a “one hit wonder,” “stupid” because we launched something you buy once or being told that “women don’t care about science they care about celebrity” was *super* fun. If @dieuxskin wasn’t quickly successful with the Forever Eye Masks and Deliverance... not sure where we’d be as we have been able to fundraise. Not every brand should have that trajectory (speed) but that doesn’t mean their business idea isn’t going to win out in the long term.
