I would never use a combination sunscreen insect repellent like bullfrog combination lotion because Sunscreen needs to be reapplied every two hours if you are hiking in sunny locations and are not protecting yourself with sun protective clothing. Insect repellent typically last 5 to 8 hours and often is most needed in the evening. So keep them separate. Apply the insect repellent first and reapply before the campfire 🔥 . . 2. Natural oils DONT WORK well for ticks . Up to 30% DEET is safe on kids age 2 years if only applied once a day to UNCOVERED skin. 😩it does dissolve plastics and nail polish 💅 . .......🌶picaridin, 20 percent SPRAY offers 4-5 hrs protection and is better against no see ums and flies, not great for ticks tho. Picaridin is synthetic table pepper and is approved down to 2 MONTHS of age! It DOES NOT DISSOLVE 💅🏻 OR PLASTIC 😎. Does NOT stain clothes . No gross smell... my personal fav👍🏻for everything BUT TICKS . 🕷 ........🌼Permethrin is a synthetic chrysanthemum flower. ONLY APPLY TO CLOTHING or gear, NEVER SKIN !! ❤️to pretreat ⛺️ clothes!!! Lasts several washes😊. REI, Eddie Bauer, Lands End, Buff and others sell clothing already pretreated!! . 3. Don’t wear cotton backpacking or camping. It’s soaks of sweat and will not dry quickly which enhances bacterial overgrowth and smell. Opt for polyester,nylon or wool to wick sweat away from your skin and decrease acne and sweat related skin conditions. . 4. Never skip your prescription skin care routine. It won’t work if you don’t use it and if you take time off you’re just going to have to start over again after a flare. . 5. Never skip washing your face at night. I don’t care how tired you are, or how dark it is. I don’t even care if you use cleansing/make up wipes. First wash your face, wipe off your back/chest/ HECK, your whole stinking body once over and put that used wipe in a trash baggie! 🍁🍂🍁 Autumn is almost upon us, and it’s time for some more outdoor fun
