The Voluntary Access and Habitat Incentive Program is the only federal program dedicated to creating public hunting and fishing access on private lands, and this portion of the Farm Bill is up for improvement. Since 2018, $49 million has driven the expansion of public access and enhancing wildlife habitat in 27 states with local wildlife agencies and tribal governments determining the best place for these funds to go.
