Not many people know but my grandfather was from Lviv, Ukraine - a small charming city historically part of Poland. It's enchanting city centre is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. My time spent in Lviv in 2019 was filled with fabulously beautiful architecture, gilded churches, kind-hearted people & small winding streets with cafés & coffee on every corner. I remember looking forward to returning. I don't profess to know many of the true reasons really behind the events of today - but to cause death thru desire is an abhorrent act. My heart goes out to the wonderful people of Lviv, and I hope they find the strength to weather this storm. Something so utterly unimaginable to us in bubble-wrapped London.
