Anyone else feeling bloated and heavy? I’m starting my morning with bone broth after a weekend of heavy eating. The gelatinous “jiggle” comes from collagen broken down into amino acids like glycine, proline, and glutamine — all of which support: gut barrier function, smooth digestion, hydration + electrolyte balance and slower gastric emptying (soothing on the stomach). Simple, warm, easy-to-digest nourishment when my system feels inflamed. Recipe: Bone Broth Morning Reset Ingredients: • 2–3 lbs chicken backs, wings, or feet (or beef knuckles/marrow bones) • 1 onion, halved • 3–4 garlic cloves • 10–12 cups filtered water • Sea salt to taste • Optional: ginger, turmeric, bay leaf, black peppercorns Method: 1. Add everything to a large pot or slow cooker. 2. Bring to a gentle boil, skim foam, then reduce to a low simmer. 3. Cook 12–18 hours (the longer, the jellier). 4. Strain, cool, and refrigerate until it sets. 5. Reheat a cup in the morning on an empty stomach. 6. Add sea salt or lemon to taste. Tip: If it jiggles; it’s legit.
