RED ROSE SHIRT FUNDRAISER! I made this shirt with my friend @jackiejackieboy, in honor of his mother who passed away this year. Charlotte and I wanted to contribute to this wonderful project Lori was so passionate about. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Red Rose school to help secure land. A beloved mother, daughter, wife, and friend, Lori lived every day with an eternal ethos of love and kindness. In Lori’s honor, her children, Jack and Julia, have created the Lori Rosner McDermott Fund. The fund will support the Red Rose School in Nairobi, Kenya. For the past seven years in her work at East Side Middle School in New York City, Lori led weekly calls between her students and the students at Red Rose. As East Side Middle School principal David Getz said, “Lori helped facilitate hundreds of friendships across continents.” The goal of the fundraiser is to assist the Red Rose in purchasing land for a new permanent home for their school and for the 400+ students it serves. If the fundraising goal is met, a new classroom will be named in Lori’s honor.
