Last week I was given the once in a lifetime opportunity to hunt in Deseret Utah for Bull elk. I ended up getting one, but long story short couldn’t track it afterwards. The outfitter is 99.9% confident they will recover the carcass in the next week or less. That is a hollow and shitty feeling. But. Big but..... I got to go out and learn a ton of lessons that will be with me for every hunt to come. I got to be with lifelong friends, old and new all week. And I was able to bathe in American nature from every breathtaking sunrise, to beautiful sunset for five days straight. I’m so thankful to @blackriflecoffee for this great experience, and hope to get the trophy back and have it hanging in the office soon. There’s nowhere else like this to work. Building bonds, doing rad shit, and showing the world life isn’t over when service ends.
