THAT GIRL - original poem. I wanted to be this girl who is all put together. Boxes checked, life perfect, no hiccups or excuses. Emptying out the nonsense the world tries to push into our minds Surrendering to the peace that can so easily be felt once we let go Confiscating the need to be wanted and seen by so many Accepting yourself for who you are and who you are meant to be Pursuing the one who loves you more than anybody or anything Evolving into more than just the being you are today but who you’ll be years from now I’m no longer holding my thoughts in hoping that I’ll remember to write them down later. When they speak to me I’m responsible for making sure they feel seen and heard. If not, they may never come back.
