Buona domenica! We’ve had a few new followers over the past few days, so we thought we’d say hello and introduce ourselves. We are @amberguinness and @willropercurzon , best friends and founders of the Arniano Painting School - residential painting holidays hosted originally at Amber’s family home Arniano, in Tuscany. It was over a drink in West London in 2014 that we decided to share the beauty of Arniano and its surrounding landscape with guests, and began by hosting two week-long courses a year. Since then we’ve expanded to hosting five weeks at Arniano, one at William’s family home @pylewellpark and soon one in the south of France @domainedelavene - keep your eyes peeled for dates! William is a talented painter who trained at City and Guilds and the Royal drawing School and now lives in Athens where he explores the natural beauty of mainland Greece and its islands through his beautiful paintings. On our courses he shares his passion for oil painting with an easy and relaxed style of teaching designed to build confidence in people who might never have tried painting with oils before, or bringing a new eye to the work of more seasoned painters. Amber is a cook and cookery writer who focuses on keeping everyone well fed. So much so that the guests’ constant refrain of ‘what’s the recipe for this!?’ Inspired her to collate all her recipes into a cookbook ‘A House Party In Tuscany’ soon to be published by @thamesandhudson The third member of the team who many of you might have spoken to on email is the man with the spreadsheet, and cocktail maker extraordinaire - Amber’s husband @matthewbellglobal . He frees us up to focus on what we do best - painting, teaching and cooking.
