About last night..... God did a thing as he surprisingly does and it ended with @chakaikhan kicking off CNN’s Juneteenth Celebration backed by The Roots and Chaka’s Girls @tymarasings and Myself @chinahblac with none other that @questlove and @adamblackstone on deck as Musical Directors!!!! For me it almost felt like a family reunion as I walked into Soundcheck hearing multi call outs Chinah!!! I looked it’s my guy Kieth McFee and damn near the whole Philly production side I’m like hey friends!!! We all hugged as I hear welcome back from a few of the cats.... Then Adam comes with biggest hug and says I know that head from anywhere lolol... @questlove comes over with the plan for the segment me and T talk it through go to the mics and I hear.. Eugenia!!!!! I look over and there’s @dwiskingbeef_official ran over hugged him as the count goes off and Soundcheck commences... We complete that and as I walk away I here is that Chinah? I look and it’s @robertglasper and @chrisdaddydave !!!!!! He goes I heard you were out with Chaka yal on the festival with us I’m like yeah I think different dates tho cool... Start walking to the trailer and who passed my by @anthonyhamiltonofficial Hey friend I go...Chinah!!! He goes we hug it out we move on to the trailer!!!! All of this in SOUNDCHECK 😂😂😂😂 It felt amazing be met with such warm vibes as a lot of theses cats I was grinding with back in the day before I took my hiatus so come back in this world 12 years later to see up close who they’ve become is truly a joy to watch and to hear that Welcome Back boy that did the heart good ❤️ Here is our segment.... The Queen came conquered and looked amazing doing it and I am so grateful that she allowed us to be apart of this moment!!!
