Today we celebrated the launch of the Market Street Corridor Improvements with a groundbreaking ceremony held at Burton W. Chace Park, the approximate location of phase one of the project. The Market Street Pedestrian and Streetscape project implements 2.2-miles of improvements along the Market Street Corridor between the Los Angeles River and Cherry Avenue. Significant improvements to the corridor include: ➡️ Sidewalk repairs ➡️ Curb ramps ➡️ Pavement rehabilitation ➡️ Installation of highly visible crosswalks ➡️ Rapid flashing beacons at select locations ➡️ Protected bike lanes and more!
