2:52:16 I wanted so badly to write 2:49 something for this caption but it didn’t turn out that way. There’s so much going through my mind right now. This was the biggest dogfight of my life. There were many moments I wanted to quit. But I never gave up on myself. I’m proud of myself for persevering to the end even when I felt my goal slipping from my hands. This is just life. You aren’t always going to achieve the goal you set for yourself right away. It may take multiple attempts. But you aren’t made strong by only successes in life. It’s the times you fall short of your goal when you are faced with the decision to give up or try again. It’s hard for me to accept that in this moment. But this isn’t the end. I’m so proud of the race I ran. Today was a huge 6 minute PR for me in my third marathon. Onwards.
