With 2022 right around the corner and people starting to plan for their fitness goals, I wanted to share a few things I have learned on my fitness journey over the past 3 years that may be helpful for you as we close out this year.
// Water //
Chances are low you are drinking enough water. I didn’t do this well at the beginning and it hurt my recovery and sleep. Now I am fully hydrated and have to pee 24/7.
// Accountability //
For me personally I was trying to hit a number, so I stepped on the scale almost every day for three years. I’m at my target weight currently, but I still step on the scale as a habit of accountability.
// Ego //
The ego stops people from starting. I was so embarrassed internally when I started. I was so mad at myself for how sloppy I felt. The way to combat the ego is honesty. I got honest with myself, sat with it, then changed it. One day at a time.
// Timing //
I work out in the mornings because chances are low I will later in the day. In order to say YES to fitness you have to say NO to something to create time for it.
// Excuses //
Stop overthinking it. Go on a run and do push-ups you lazy shit. 😘
